Community Emergency Response Team



The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is charged with helping Grand Island prepare for and respond to emergencies by bringing together local leaders, citizen volunteers and a network of first responders including fire, police and emergency medical personnel. Their goal is to have all Grand Islanders participate in making our town safer, stronger and better prepared for preventing and handling threats of terrorism, crime and disasters of all kinds. 


This committee meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm
McMahon's Restaurant, 1849 Grand Island Blvd.

Members, some representing specific organizations, are appointed to a one-year term expiring on December 31.
