COVID-19 Coronavirus Information
We have been committed to keeping our community updated about the rapidly developing situation with respect to COVID-19. Throughout this process, we have relied on the guidance of County and State Officials.
Effective immediately, all Recreation Department and Golden Age Center activities and facility usages are suspended through March 21, 2020. This would include all recreation programs, Golden Age Center Lunches, and rentals of the Community Center. The Town has been in close contact with Erie County Senior Services and will be providing continuing updates.
The Town encourages all residents observe the guidelines and best practices that have been issued by the various County, State, and Federal agencies. The Town Board will be closely monitoring the situation with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic and will be providing ongoing updates to the Town.
The Town Board Workshop Meeting and Regular Meeting will be held as scheduled on March 16, 2020. Both of these meetings will be livestreamed using the Town’s YouTube page, which is accessible from the Town’s website. The Town will discuss other potential impact of the COVID-19, including the scheduled Public Hearings with respect to Project Olive, at Monday’s Town Board Workshop Meeting. Given the recommendations from County, State, and Federal agencies with respect to social distancing, non-pharmaceutical interventions, and other best practices for keeping our Community Safe and preventing the spread of COVID-19, the Town encourages anyone that does not intend to speak at a public hearing on Monday to practice social distancing and view the meeting remotely.Update on COVID-19 from Erie County Dept. of Health:
