Essential Worker Covid Testing

Please see the flyer below for details on Essential Worker testing in New York State.
The targets for this testing is first responders, health care workers and essential employees. You can see on the flyer examples of each. In particular, it is important to get essential workers who have public facing jobs tested. This will, hopefully, facilitate the reopening of our economy.

The tests are free of charge, but people must register in advance by calling the number on the attached flyer.  It tests for active infections by using a nasal swab. The actual test takes less than one minute.  Of course, there is usually a short wait time and some paper work prior to the test.  Currently there are test sites in downtown Buffalo (125 Perry Street- in the Cobblestone District) and at Niagara Community College.

The person making the appointment can have 4 people in the vehicle  (Car, SUV, Van  No big trucks, etc. because they need to be reached by personnel taking the swab) so there is one person at each window.  The results usually take two to three days.
